Ampersand Inc. is an award-winning Canadian sales agency, representing the coolest books, stationery, puzzles, gifts & games coast to coast across a number of different publishers & gift lines. We work with some of the best Canadian indie publishers, as well as a wide array of US & UK publishers.

We are the face of our clients to the customer and serve as advocates for our customers to our clients. We make sure the right products get sold to the right accounts and make it as easy as possible for them to stock and sell our clients’ products. The successful applicant will have experience in the world of books (as a bookseller, an account manager, or in another publishing or book related position), and will work closely with an account list of book and gift stores to sell in new titles and support sales strategies. Reporting to and meeting with client publishers is also an important aspect of this position; we meet with our publishers twice a year digitally, once per year in person, and interact frequently via phone and email.
This position requires an organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented person, who is excited to sit down with buyers and talk books, sales strategies, and more! Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, etc) comfortably is necessary. As this position does involve travelling to meet with accounts throughout Western Canada, a car and valid drivers license are required.
