Today is the first day of the Alberta Book Reps Association Fall Bookfair! Hurray! So here I am in lovely Calgary, talking to booksellers and librarians from all over the province. I’m lucky enough to get to travel a fair amount with this job, and Calgary is one of my frequent stops. Normally my fellow rep Judy and I try to make it to Alloy, which is an EXCELLENT restaurant that you should definitely check out. But this year we have a plan. Figure 1 has a book on their fall list called Calgary Cooks, and Judy and I have the list of restaurants from the book! So we’re going to try to make our way through a few, and then we’ll do it all again when we head back in February. Definitely bringing some stretchy pants!
