Science has never been my strong suit but I did watch a lot of Bill Nye the Science Guy

when my kids were growing up.  I loved his enthusiasm and ability to demonstrate complex ideas

in ways that were entertaining as well as enlightening.   Trained as a mechanical engineer,

Nye worked at Boeing before creating and hosting his Emmy award winning television show.

I’ve been reading an advance of his new book, Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation

pubbing in November.  Nye was compelled to write the book to spread awareness of evolution

and the powerful way it shapes our lives.  He delves into a multitude of topics such as

why race does not really exist; the promise and peril of genetically modified food;

climate change; the search for alien life.   All to the end of  encouraging readers to be curious

about the world and how it works.
