Happy Friday!

I had my first local strawberries of the season this week.

My husband picked them up on his way home from

work because they were ripe and ready to eat and he

knew rain was coming so there wouldn’t be more

available for a few days.  Because the weather has been

so sunny and dry, the berries were plump, juicy and really

red, all the way through – not that fake giant strawberry

with the white interior.  (shudder…)  The berries were

wonderful and I am already dreaming of the fruits to come-

blueberries, cherries…  Can’t wait!
