It’s the first day of June, which means today is the official kick-off to Canada’s first-ever Pride Month. I’m very much looking forward to all of the fun and exciting events taking place here in Toronto including a 10-day Pride Toronto Festival and, of course, the Pride Parade!

For anyone looking to get their kids (or students!) involved in the Pride festivities, I highly recommend checking out Pride: Celebrating Diversity & Community by Robin Stevenson first. This book has lots of great info about the significance of Pride and why we celebrate it. And it has tons of stunning photos!
