Lines > Talonbooks
Talonbooks began as the poetry magazine Talon, with an editorial collective based at Magee High School in Vancouver in 1963. The magazine and collective moved to the University of British Columbia in 1965. By 1967, Talon had published so many young writers, it dedicated itself to becoming a book publisher for its authors. Over the past two decades, Talonboooks has diversified its literary non-fiction list to include critical works on Canadian socio-economic and political issues.
