You may or not remember me getting PRETTY excited a few months back about a new Jo Walton title…. Well I finally got the ARC last week and read it in two days!

Necessity is the third book in Walton’s Thessaly series, which is about the goddess Athene trying to create a truly Platonic Just City. Wait, wait, come back, IT’S REALLY GOOD I PROMISE!

This final installment has our Platonic heroes dealing with alien gods, aliens, and space humans, from their new home on the planet Plato. She explores all sorts of fascinating ideas about how we live our lives, time, the idea of God/gods, and the pursuit of excellence.

Seriously, you should read this series; A+ would read again!
